Summary of the course
The purpose of Bioinformatics course is to introduce basic concepts and elements of molecular and cell biology in an experimental context, and how bioinformatics tools and databases are used for analyses of the generated biological data. In short laboratory practical classes, students will employ techniques used by cell and molecular biologists to run experiments and use bioinformatics to analyse data. In addition, students will practice extracting pertinent information from scientific literature and will generate brief notes modeled on the scientific literature.
