Prof. Dr. Mozart Marins
I am a professor and researcher at the Biotechnology Unit of the University of Ribeirão Preto (UNAERP), where I am the leader of the Molecular Genetics and Bioinformatics research group.
My Bachelor of Science in Biology and PhD in Science were obtained at the University of São Paulo, where I studied from 1985 to 1995, with a two-year period at the University of Osnabrück, Germany. Subsequently, I worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Leeds, England, from 1997 to 1999. In 2000, I assumed the position of Full Professor at the Biotechnology Unit of the UNAERP. Between 2007 and 2014 I coordinated the Superior course of Technology in Biotechnology, where I was also professor of the disciplines of Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics and Advanced Topics in Biotechnology. In 2011, I started the PET-Biotechnology group at UNAERP, which distributed more than 12 IC scholarships for undergraduate students, of which I was also the first tutor. I have also been involved in the Master's and Doctoral Program in Biotechnology at UNAERP, since its creation in 2001, as a professor in the DNA Technology discipline, member of the Post-Graduation Commission (2003-present). Currently I teach the subjects of Genetic and Microscopic Aspects of Tissues in the course of Pharmaceutical Sciences and as tutor of the Circulatory System module (PBL methodology) in the Medicine course of UNAERP. |
